Course Information

This programme of study is intended to give students a comprehensive overview of digital film production practice and theory. Students will be given opportunities to experiment with new visual ideas and concepts. The programme is suitable for candidates who wish to work within the film/video and new media production sectors. The course requires full-time attendance for a period of 20weeks. All necessary equipment is provided by the centre - including workstations, cameras, sound and lighting equipment.

• Camera work & photography

• Work experience • Direction

• Broadcasting funding application process

• Programme Development

• Sound design

• Media Analysis

• Book Keeping

• 3 stages of Production

• Production design

• Job seeking and career planning

• Treatment/storyboarding .

Candidates will be given opportunities to undertake a realistic work placement during the programme as part of the Work Experience module.

Entry Requirements Minimum age of 18 years and a leaving cert or equivalent.  An interest in the subject is essential. Suitable candidates will be called for interview. For further course details please e-mail : admin@mlcdublin.com
